Leicester City predicted XI and team news as Daka starts v Birmingham City

Leicester City head to Birmingham City in the Championship on Monday night.

Leicester City are back on the road after successive home wins in the Championship against Plymouth Argyle and Millwall respectively.

The last vs Millwall was hard-fought, but a 3-2 win in the end saw the Foxes take their total points tally for this season past the 50 mark.

Ipswich Town drew vs Norwich earlier today and now sit level on points with Leicester on 52, so with a game in hand, Enzo Maresca will be hoping to take advantage of an out of sorts Birmingham City side.

Though Wayne Rooney’s men will be buoyed by a positive 1-0 win at Cardiff City in midweek.

Leicester City team news

Leicester have a couple of injuries in the attacking department right now with Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho ruled out of this one.

Patson Daka has made a surprise return to action in recent weeks, starting in the last two and scoring in both games as well.

Callum Doyle remains a longer-term absentee for the Foxes.

How will Enzo Maresca line up tomorrow?

The win over Millwall, whilst difficult, was still a win, and so we should see a mostly unchanged line up for this one on Monday.

Expect Daka to be a talking point, but expect him to lead the line once again given injuries to Vardy and Iheanacho, and his recent scoring form.

Elsewhere, Leicester’s XI vs Millwall is the XI that we’ve seen for most of the season so far.

Names like Wout Faes, Harry Winks, Wilfred Ndidi, and Stephy Mavididi have cemented their place in the XI, and although Maresca has some good options to rotate in the likes of Tom Cannon and Hamza Choudhury, the Italian seems to have found and settled on his preferred XI.

Here’s how we think Leicester City will line up vs Birmingham City on Monday night…
