Leicester have the chance to build a further gap to those trailing them this season against Sunderland tonight. Here’s our predicted XI.
Enzo Maresca must be getting bored of the Championship now with seven consecutive wins and just one loss all season.
This form has led to comparisons with some of the best Championship sides ever, something Maresca isn’t happy with.
But against a strong Sunderland side, he will need to be wary of a potential slip-up,
Sunderland have lost two on the bounce though and will be due a win, while surely this winning run can’t go forever.
So with that in mind, here is the team we think Maresca will name to face Sunderland…

Leicester City predicted XI v Sunderland
As usual, Maresca will go strong which means undoubtedly, Mads Hermansen starts in goal as he continues to be excellent.
In defence, we see Ricardo Pereira at right-back as the best choice as James Justin starts at left-back.
Centrally, Wout Faes and Jannick Vestergaard are both set to keep their places in the team.
Moving into midfield, Harry Winks should continue along with Wilfred Ndidi and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall which is probably the league’s best midfield.
The wing positions are laces which Maresca has identified as vital in causing issues to the opposition.
On the right side of the attack, Abdul Fatawu should continue as he gets better by the week and scored at the weekend.
While Stephy Mavididi has been excellent on the left and so should continue.
Up front is where the big decision lies for Maresca with Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho both deserving of a start.
We think Iheanacho just edges it due to Vardy’s inclusion against Swansea.
Leicester predicted XI: Hermansen; Ricardo, Faes, Vestergaard, Justin; Winks, Ndidi, Dewsbury-Hall; Fatawu, Iheanacho, Mavididi.
