Leicester City will be hoping to continue their return to form as they face the side placed 24th, Sheffield Wednesday. Here’s our predicted XI.

After back-to-back defeats prior to the international break, Leicester City finally got back to winning ways on Saturday against Watford.

Jamie Vardy stepped up to score twice for the Foxes which saw them defeat a game Watford.

Prior to the defeat, Leicester had ‘taken winning for granted’ according to full-back James Justin, but we guarantee they won’t be anymore.

However, facing the on-paper worst team in the whole division, Enzo Maresca may see the chance to rest some names here.

So here is our predicted XI to face Sheffield Wednesday…

Leicester predicted XI to face Sheffield Wednesday

Even in the event of a serious rotation, Mads Hermansen is bound to start anyway. The goalkeeper has grown into the role really well and will benefit hopefully from another clean sheet.

At right back, Ricardo Pereira should continue however if he doesn’t, expect Hamza Choudhury to step in. Pereira has been solid for Maresca and in the midst of heavy rotation, some senior heads must remain.

The centre-back pairing we envision sees Wout Faes drop out, as Conor Coady steps in to partner Jannick Vestergaard.

James Justin continues at left-back, with Callum Doyle still absent through injury.

Into midfield is where the heavy rotation begins as a returning Dennis Praet starts alongside Cesare Casadei with Wilfred Ndidi the only one to retain his place.

Abdul Fatawu starts on the right, replacing Kasey McAteer with Stephy Mavididi retaining his place on the right side.

Up-front, 20-year-old Tom Cannon starts for the first time at Leicester. No better time than this game given the opponents are as weak as you will find in the Championship.

Leicester City predicted XI: Hermansen; Pereira, Coady, Vestergaard, Justin; Praet, Ndidi, Casadei; Fatawu, Cannon, Mavididi.
