Jamie Vardy scored twice for Leicester City as they got back to winning ways in the Championship against Watford.
Leicester City seemingly have put their potential crisis to bed after beating 10-man Watford 2-0 over the weekend.
The game saw Leicester solid defensively and dominate possession however the game winner turned out to be Foxes icon Jamie Vardy.
Vardy bagged a brace for Leicester, but could’ve had a hat trick as he missed one massive chance. It was a very eventful day for the striker who could’ve been sent off too, if the Watford boss is to be believed.
This brace came on the week when Maresca was told he needed his strikers to start scoring in order to recover from the bump of two defeats.
But now, Vardy’s teammate James Justin has been praising the legendary Leicester forward.

Justin on Vardy
Justin was interviewed on Monday’s episode of the When You’re Smiling podcast, in which Owynn Palmer-Atkin asked him about Vardy’s performance.
When asked about Vardy missing the chance before going on to score twice, Justin said: “Yeah, I mean it’s a testament to him. He’s missed 100s of chances in his career,” he explained.
“One chance isn’t going to make him or break him and he’ll always be the same in front of goal so that’s one of the things that makes him top.”
Vardy shows he still has what it takes
A number nine’s main job is to score and that’s what Vardy has done this season. He’s played Maresca’s style and role when he’s had to but what he does best is cause chaos in the box.
Despite his age of 36, turning 37 in January, Vardy is still as deadly as ever when he’s in the box and causes serious concern to defenders no doubt.
His brace on the weekend made it number seven this season in all competitions, which amounts to 18-games.
Vardy will be relied on heavily over the coming months as he will be sharing the load with youngster Tom Cannon with both Patson Daka and Kelechi Iheanacho away at AFCON.
