As Leicester City struggle in attacking positions, Tom Cannon has been tipped to make a huge impact on the Championship.
Leicester City face a crucial game against Watford this weekend, with a loss not acceptable after two consecutive defeats.
After running rampant in the opening 14 weeks of the season, Leicester have hit a bit of a roadblock lately.
Failing to score in their last two, Leicester will be concerned over their two strikers who have scored just two between them in the last five games.
In response to this concern, it’s been suggested that Leicester have the perfect option already in their squad to come in and score some goals.

Tom Cannon to the rescue for Leicester
Speaking on the What the EFL?! podcast, Sam Parkin has suggested that Leicester should start the soon-returning Tom Cannon.
“We know they’re incredibly well stocked there. I think it’s just two in the last five, just one a-piece for Vardy and Iheanacho. I thought it was worth raising the point that Tom Cannon is near a return so in terms of a natural goalscorer, he’s right up there isn’t he?”
Parkin then continued to explain that Cannon is already proven at a Championship level.
“He’s produced in the Championship previously with Preston and the type of profile he is in comparison to those, who are both brilliant players, Vardy is an absolute hero and rightly so, that’ll be interesting to keep an eye on.”
Can Tom Cannon be Leicester’s striker
Leicester only signed Tom Cannon from Everton at the end of the summer transfer window but has yet to make an appearance.
The Irish striker has been out since his arrival but is supposedly nearing a return which could be at the perfect time for Leicester as established stars falter.
Cannon scored eight goals in the Championship for Preston last season while playing just 20 games for a far weaker team than Leicester are.
He is clinical and technical which could be exactly what Maresca wants, so upon his full return don’t be surprised if he is starting ahead of the current two.
