Leicester City have a number of talented players coming through the ranks at the moment.

Jake Evans is making real noise for the under-21s having enjoyed a prolific season playing years above his age group.

The 16-year-old striker is the top scorer in the Premier League 2 and is close to making his first-team debut, according to Leicester boss Ruud van Nistelrooy.

“For Jake now, he’s adjusting to training with the first team, making very valuable minutes in the Under-21s,” Van Nistelrooy said. “He’s picked up a little injury now so we need to look after him.

“Let’s hope he keeps developing and can train a lot more with us. But we have to also be careful. Little injuries like he has now, we have to assess him, we hope it’s not much. He’s a great prospect for the future and hopefully the near, near future.”

15-year-old Jeremy Monga has also been involved in first-team training lately after ripping it up for the reserve side.

Monga was on the bench against Manchester United earlier this month and is on the verge of making his debut, too.

Now, an academy talent expert has just issued a pretty crazy prediction about Monga, which amplifies just how good he is.

Academy expert gives bold Jeremy Monga prediction

Jacek Kulig, who is an expert on all things youth football, has recently published a scout report on Leicester’s teenage winger Jeremy Monga, and it’s certainly a glowing one.

Kulig likened Monga to Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr, who is widely regarded as one of the best footballers on the planet.

The talent expert hailed multiple elements of Monga’s game, as he wrote: “His ability to accelerate in tight spaces and sprint past defenders makes him a constant threat on the wing.

“Very positive on the ball, unpredictable, and confident of his skills. Doesn’t hesitate to use his weaker left foot and is capable of dribbling, passing, and scoring comfortably with it.”

Kulig rounded off his report by awarding Monga a very rare 9.5/10 potential rating and admitted he has the ability to be a key player for a top European club.

“Player has the potential to become a key player in a top European club.”

Chelsea, Manchester City and Barcelona want to sign Monga

Given Kulig’s glowing praise about Monga, it’s hardly surprising to see most of Europe’s top clubs circling to land his signature.

Chelsea and Manchester City want to sign Monga, whilst European powerhouses Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have already made enquiries to Leicester.

So, quite clearly, the Foxes face a tough battle to retain his signature this summer, especially considering he’s still not eligible to sign a professional contract.

So Leicester are pretty powerless in keeping him, until of course he turns 17 – the earliest age a footballer can sign a pro deal in this country.
