Leicester City aren’t the only side facing managerial issues this season as Championship side Blackburn Rovers prepare to lose their manager.
John Eustace confirmed after his side’s FA Cup defeat against Wolves that he had requested to leave the club following an approach from Derby County.
Derby sacked Paul Warne and turned to former Rams player Eustace, who is set to be confirmed by Leicester’s rivals imminently.
It means that play-off chasing Rovers will have to find a replacement and it appears that one former Foxes manager is a favourite among fans to get the job at Ewood Park.

Blackburn Rovers fans want Steve Cooper to replace John Eustace as their new manager
Steve Cooper has been out of work since November, when he was sacked after less than six months in charge at the King Power Stadium.
Cooper left Leicester 16th in the Premier League table but was never taken to by fans and players, with Cooper falling out with several Leicester stars.
The Welshman was briefly linked with Stoke City but has been quiet since his Foxes departure.
However, with a new job likely to be available, Blackburn fans are keen on bringing the 48-year-old to Lancashire.
One supporter said: “Personally it has to be Steve Cooper for me as a replacement, our situation is ready for him to come in and sustain our playoff push for the last 15 games. Give him a short term contract, nothing to lose, then reassess in the summer.
“Bring me Rob Edwards or Steve Cooper. Nothing more, nothing less,” said a second.
Another wrote: “Steve Cooper is an upgrade on Eustace anyway.”
A fourth commented: “Get Steve Cooper in Blackburn, he’ll do you wonders.
“Would love Cooper but just can’t see him being interested,” said this Blackburn fan.
This person said: “Any of Gary O’Neil or Steve Cooper preferably Steve Cooper as he knows this league inside out and he worked miracles at Forest…”
What did Steve Cooper say after leaving Leicester City?
Cooper isn’t remembered fondly by Leicester fans for his brief stint at the club.
From his previous affiliation with rivals Nottingham Forest to not starting Abdul Fatawu, he was on the back foot from day one of the job.
Although he has been linked with a number of other jobs, it was reported in November that Cooper was willing to hold out and wait for the right club.
With Blackburn sitting in sixth – currently occupying the final play-off place – the chance of promotion to the Premier League is possible.
Furthermore, given the Foxes’ top flight struggles, Cooper could even see it as an opportunity to overtake his former club and get revenge.
