It’s been just over a month since Steve Cooper was sacked by Leicester City and replaced by Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Cooper was sacked by Leicester in November after winning four of his opening 15 games in charge.
Problems away from the pitch seemed to be the deciding factor, with Cooper banishing Jannik Vestergaard from training.
Additionally, a number of Leicester players were spotted partying in Copenhagen just hours after the Welshman’s final game in charge.
The 48-year-old still has plenty of experience from his previous roles with Swansea City, Nottingham Forest and the England youth sides and as a result, has been linked with a number of jobs in the past two weeks.

Steve Cooper linked with Championship jobs after Leicester sacking
Despite his less than perfect few months at the King Power Stadium, potential suitors weren’t put off by Cooper.
Coventry City and Stoke City were two teams reportedly interested in appointing the Welshman after sacking both of their managers.
However, according to The Sun, Cooper is prepared to wait it out and hold out for the right job to become available.
A big stumbling block for some sides will be the demands the former Leicester boss has.
His salary is expected to be relatively high, which is reportedly why Stoke opted to go for Mark Robins once they had signed Narcis Pelach after their dismal campaign continued.
Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record compared to Steve Cooper

It’s been just over a month since Van Nistelrooy replaced Cooper in the dugout and it’s fair to say his time has been mixed.
A win against West Ham United kicked off his tenure before a draw at home to Brighton & Hove Albion a few days later.
Since then, however, it hasn’t quite gone to plan. Leicester equalled an unwanted 22-year record after losing their fifth game in a row.
| Stat | Ruud van Nistelrooy | Steve Cooper |
| Wins | 1 | 4 |
| Draws | 1 | 4 |
| Losses | 5 | 7 |
| Win Percentage | 14% | 27% |
Despite the results, there has been an improvement in the way the Foxes have been playing, and it’s clear the players are on board too.
There seems to be an understanding in what’s expected of them and whilst Van Nistelrooy’s win percentage isn’t overly impressive, it’s still early days and it seems like he’ll get the backing of the fans and board.
