Caleb Okoli has had a strong start to his opening few months at Leicester City.

Okoli joined as one of Leicester’s nine summer signings in the 2024 window after arriving from Atalanta.

The 23-year-old has played 13 times for the Foxes but is yet to feature under new manager Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Despite that, the Italian has been relatively solid whenever called upon as Okoli realises his lifelong dream to play in England.

Caleb Okoli says Leicester City facilities are ‘on another planet’

Leicester may not have the best squad in the world but, when it comes to the Foxes’ training ground, you’ll find it difficult to find any better.

Van Nistelrooy compared Leicester’s training ground to Real Madrid’s and the Seagrave facilities boast plenty to shout about.

To harness your skills and spend your days training there is an attractive pull for anyone and Okoli admitted that he was left stunned by what he saw on his arrival.

Speaking to Cronache di Spogliatoio, he said: “I was shocked when I saw it for the first time. I grew up in Zingonia [Atalanta’s training setup] and until this summer I thought that centres like that were the best.

“But when I arrived here I was speechless, I assure you that we are on another planet. There are 21 pitches and one of them is covered. Then we have two gyms where nothing is missing and also in terms of recovery we have everything, from saunas to swimming pools.”

Caleb Okoli reveals which Premier League player he is most excited to play against

Premier League football is the pinnacle for those who make it in the beautiful game.

Consumed by everyone around the world, players like Okoli dream of playing in the top flight.

At Leicester, Okoli is currently experiencing that and has admitted that the standard of the league is at an all-time high.

“It’s true what they say, the Premier League is played at a different intensity,” he said.

“Here everyone is used to ‘always going at 3000’ and there is a very high athletic level, but it’s not just that. The technical level is also incredible.”

Okoli also added that he is relishing the chance to come up against Manchester City forward Erling Haaland, and will hope to play against him when the two meet at the end of December.
