Every Leicester City player called up for international duty in October and who they will play

After finally ending the wait for a win, Leicester City’s players have now broken away for the October international fixtures.

Steve Cooper’s men finally got off the mark with a 1-0 win against AFC Bournemouth to claim their first Premier League win of the season at the seventh attempt.

The win has seen the Foxes move three points clear of the relegation zone and stand them in good stead for a busy month of fixtures that includes facing rivals Nottingham Forest at the King Power Stadium.

Several Leicester stars have been called up to their respective national teams so with that, let’s take a look at every Leicester City star on international duty in October.

Every Leicester City player away on international duty

Facundo Buonanotte is the biggest highlight of the international break after he received a maiden call-up to Argentina’s national team.

Buonanotte has been one of the Foxes’ brightest sparks this season and scored the winner against Bournemouth at the weekend.

Kasey McAteer has retained his place in the Republic of Ireland squad for their Nations League fixtures against Finland and Greece.

Danny Ward (Wales), Wout Faes (Belgium), Mads HermansenJannik VestergaardVictor Kristiansen (all Denmark), and Caleb Okoli (Italy) have also received call-ups.

Away from Europe, Abdul Fatawu and Jordan Ayew have been called up for Ghana while Wilfred Ndidi and Bilal El Khannouss are in the Nigeria and Morocco senior squads.

Steve McClaren has also named Bobby De Cordova Reid in his Jamaica squad, but there was no place for Will Alves or Michael Golding in the England youth sides.
