Leicester City host Arsenal in the Premier League’s early kick-off on Saturday.

It was a miserable Friday night for Leicester City, who were defeated 2-1 by Manchester United as Harry Maguire’s controversial late winner denied them a shot of advancing into the fifth round.

Ruud van Nistelrooy must now turn his attention back to the Premier League, where the Foxes have struggled to pick up points.

Leicester have lost eight of their last nine league matches, putting their hopes of survival at huge risk and piling pressure onto the Dutchman.

A miserable winter transfer window didn’t help Van Nistelrooy, as they only signed one player, and now they have to try to avoid the drop with what they have.

Next up at the King Power Stadium is a clash against title-chasing Arsenal, who have multiple players sidelined for the fixture.

Mikel Arteta without four Arsenal players for Leicester City clash

Mikel Arteta has had to navigate through a difficult period as four of his key players are sidelined through injury, with Ben White only just back in contention.

The biggest absence has been winger Bukayo Saka, who produced five goals and 10 assists in the Premier League before suffering a hamstring injury in December.

Saka is joined by fellow winger Gabriel Martinelli. The Brazilian international suffered a hamstring injury in the defeat to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup semi-final last week and is expected to be on the sidelines for around a month.

Meanwhile, Gabriel Jesus is in the early stages of his recovery from an ACL injury suffered last month and is joined on the physio table by versatile defender Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Leicester City injury update ahead of Arsenal

Van Nistelrooy confirmed a Leicester City injury update before the loss to Manchester United, meaning Victor Kristiansen, Jamie Vardy and Jannik Vestergaard missed the fixture.

Luckily, Van Nistelrooy confirmed the trio will return against Arsenal, and that is a massive bonus for the Premier League strugglers.

Winger Abdul Fatawu, meanwhile, is still recovering from his long-term injury alongside full-back Ricardo Pereira.

Hopefully, Leicester fans will see Fatawu and Pereira before the end of the season.
