How Facundo Buonanotte can join exclusive Premier League club during Leicester City vs Nottingham Forest

Facundo Buonanotte has had a sensational start to life at Leicester City and can now make Premier League history.

Leicester City had a mixed 2024 summer transfer window with a few of their big additions like Jordan Ayew still yet to live up to the hype.

However, one man who has most certainly shone in the opening few months of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign is Facundo Buonanotte.

The Argentine was signed on a season-long loan from Brighton and Hove Albion and has now become the Foxes’ MVP under Steve Cooper.

Troy Deeney was left blown away by Buonanotte after his role in the Foxes’ 3-2 win over Southampton this past weekend, while Rob Tanner dubbed the Leicester star ‘quality’ after Arsenal last month.

And it is now obvious Leicester must try to sign Buoanotte from Brighton on a permanent deal at some point in the next two transfer windows.

Cooper’s men are next in action on Friday evening vs Nottingham Forest and another big showing is expected from the South American.

How Leicester City ace Facundo Buonanotte can join exclusive Premier League club vs Nottingham Forest

Ahead of the game, the Argentine now has the opportunity to cement himself in the Premier League history books and join an exclusive club.

Buonanotte is Leicester’s joint-top scorer in 2024/25 along with veteran centre-forward, Jamie Vardy.

He also has two assists to his name in the Premier League so far this campaign and another goal contribution vs Forest would see him join an exclusive list.

Buonanotte has been involved in five goals in his last six Premier League appearances for Leicester.

As a result, the 19-year-old could become just the 10th teenager to score or assist in four appearances in a row in the competition and be the first to do so since Evan Ferguson for Brighton in January 2023.

Leicester City face uphill battle to beat Nottingham Forest

Leicester are looking to make it three wins in a row in the league for the first time this season having secured three points against Bournemouth and Southampton.

In previous seasons, Nottingham Forest would have been a fairly kind fixture for the Midlands outfit.

However, Nuno Espirito Santo has completely transformed his side over the last few months.

Forest sit eighth in the Premier League table going into the weekend and have lost just one league match all term.

Granted, they have drawn four of their eight clashes but they are still expected to prove a tough nut to crack for Leicester.

As a result, Buonanotte will need to be at his best if Leicester are to have a real chance of securing the win.
