One Leicester City attacker particularly shone for Steve Cooper’s side, despite defeat to Arsenal.
Leicester City were unfortunate to lose out 4-2 against Arsenal, where the Foxes came incredibly close to completing an incredible comeback to snatch a draw.
Steve Cooper was most certainly under pressure prior to the game against Arsenal, from concerns over his current tactical set up, to his decision to yet again keep James Justin ahead of Ricardo Pereira in the starting line up.
However, Cooper’s bold decision paid off as Justin bagged an incredible double that pegged back Arsenal from their two-goal lead.
Whilst Leicester City defended vigilantly against the Gunners, they managed to sneak ahead at the death, and matters were made worse as they bagged a fourth, with it finish 4-2, a scoreline that certainly doesn’t reflect the Foxes’ performance.
One attacker in particular shone for Cooper’s side, and he has rightly been praised for his performance against Arsenal.

Leicester City winger Facundo Buonanotte shines in Arsenal defeat
Whilst both Leicester City goals came courtesy of defender James Justin, there is no doubt that Argentinian winger Facundo Buonanotte played his part in the brilliant display after he set up the English defender for his first goal.
He was able to provide a consistent attacking output for the Foxes, and often looked to get Cooper’s side back on the front foot, despite his side often being up against the cosh against Arsenal.
It was a brilliant performance, and he was one of several players within the Leicester City ranks that certainly deserved at least a point against the Champions League outfit.
Rob Tanner was full of praise for the winger, as he wrote on X: “I like Buonanotte. He has got spirit. I like his attitude.
“He has been starved of the ball but obviously has quality, but above all he never stops trying and battling.”
Facundo Buonanotte stats vs Arsenal
There is no doubting that Buonanotte made a significant impact for the Foxes, and the Brighton loanee has already proven to be a worthy investment for Leicester City.
Per Sofascore, Buonanotte managed 35 touches of the ball on the right flank, and made one key pass, whilst achieving a 100% success rate with his crossing.
He also significantly contributed to Leicester City’s defensive attempts, particularly in the second half, with the winger winning six ground duels, whilst making three clearances.
Buonanotte was also able to make three tackles and make an interception.
Both on the defensive and offensive front, the Argentinian made a notable difference for Cooper’s side, and there is no doubt that he deserves all the praise from a brilliant showing.
If Buonanotte and Leicester City can replicate such a performance in the weeks to come, they will certainly be filled with much more optimism in their upcoming fight against relegation, and it has certainly given Cooper a lot to be hopeful about.
