All of the latest Leicester City news to start off the week as Manchester City fans plan to protest during their game against the Foxes and a striker makes a retirement U-turn.

There’s only a couple of days to go until the Foxes are back in action, but it’s one of the toughest tests they could ask for.

Pep Guardiola’s Man City side await, who are chasing Champions League qualification, whilst Ruud van Nistelrooy is hoping to avoid matching a record last set by Leicester 38 years ago.

Ahead of that, here is all of your latest news.

Leicester told to sign Josh Sargent this summer

The Foxes will no doubt be working on transfers in the background, drawing up a list of targets depending on whether they remain in the Premier League or return to the Championship next season.

One position that almost certainly needs improving in is the forward position. With Patson Daka likely to leave and Odsonne Edouard’s loan deal up in the summer, that would leave 38-year-old Jamie Vardy as the only option.

Finding a replacement will be difficult, however, one name that has been tipped as a potential signing is Norwich City forward Josh Sargent.

With 13 goals in the Championship this season, Sargent has proven he is a goal scorer at that level and could easily make the step up to the top flight.

Man City fans to protest during Leicester visit

Leicester fans have spent large portions of the second of the season protesting with Foxes supporters voicing their disproval towards Jon Rudkin.

On Wednesday it’ll be the opposition supporters though as Man City fans have been urged to stay out of the stands at the Etihad Stadium until the ninth minute.

Fans aren’t happy with the club’s decision to partner with ticket resale platform Viagogo and have voiced concerns about their eight other partnerships with similar companies amid poor attendances at the stadium.

Leicester star comes out of retirement

Retiring from football is a decision that no player wants to make and sometimes, some players come to regret it.

Walking away from a game that has been part of your livelihood for years isn’t easy and for Martyn Waghorn, it took the former Leicester striker less than a month to realise that.

After Waghorn announced his retirement in February, it was confirmed that he had returned to Derby County until the end of the season.

It’s unlikely he will play, with reports suggesting he’s only there as a morale booster, but never say never.
