Leicester City look set to confirm the appointment of Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Reports on Wednesday revealed that Van Nistelrooy would be announced by Leicester on Thursday.
Several other names were linked with the Foxes however, due to Leicester’s financial issues, the East Midlanders had to overcome some obstacles in order to get the right appointment.
There is every chance the Dutchman could be in the dugout for Leicester’s trip to Brentford on Saturday but according to other reports, there could’ve been another manager in line to replace Steve Cooper.

Niko Kovac considered by Leicester City for new manager role
According to Sky Sports, one of the managers considered by Leicester was former Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg boss Niko Kovac.
Kovac, 53, has been out of work since being sacked by Wolfsburg in March.
Before joining the German side in 2022 the former Croatia international was appointed as the Bayern Munich boss in 2018.
He spent one season at the Bundesliga giants before leaving by mutual consent in October 2019, just months after winning a league and cup double.

Who are Leicester City’s next five fixtures against?
Van Nistelrooy knows he is coming into a side firmly in a relegation battle and his first five games will see him come up against at least two of those fellow rivals.
If appointed in time, the Dutchman will begin his tenure away at Brentford before taking charge at the King Power Stadium for the first time three days later against West Ham United.
It’ll be back-to-back home games for Van Nistelrooy as they host Brighton & Hove Albion before rounding off with Newcastle United away and Wolves at home.
