Leicester City fans will want to see the back of the 2024/25 campaign, as their return to the Premier League has been a complete nightmare.

An abysmal run of 12 losses in 13 matches has seen Leicester plummet into the bottom three, with six points separating them from 17th place Wolves.

It would require an incredible turnaround from Ruud van Nistelrooy to keep the Foxes up, and that doesn’t look like it’s happening.

So, it appears Leicester will be preparing for Championship football next term, which could see several of their stars exit the King Power Stadium.

Mads Hermansen is wanted by Manchester United while attacking midfielder Bilal El Khannouss could play at a team like Arsenal, according to his former coach at Genk, Michel Ribeiro.

Unfortunately, relegation would also impact their business in the transfer market, perhaps ruling out a move for one of their targets.

Leicester City target Manor Solomon wants Premier League football

Leicester were linked with Manor Solomon in February. The Tottenham winger is currently tearing it up in the Championship with seven goals and seven assists this term.

Solomon has been valued at £20 million by Spurs, with the 25-year-old set to field interest from numerous clubs ahead of the summer.

The Foxes were set to be one of those sides in the mix, although the chances of them landing the Isreal international look incredibly slim.

According to TEAMtalk, Van Nistelrooy has Solomon on his radar, but the wingers’ preference is to play in the Premier League, and that is something Leicester can’t offer, barring any miracles.

Relegation won’t impact Leicester’s ability to spend

It’s sad the campaign has come to this in March however, the Leicester owners must now start preparing for a season in the Championship.

City need a complete rebuild in the summer, even perhaps waving goodbye to legend Jamie Vardy, whose contract is expiring this year.

They need to get rid of the players on extremely high wages and use the market smartly to replace them with youngsters who have potential.

As exclusively revealed by Leicester City News, the Foxes will be safe from PSR issues in 2025/26, meaning they should be able to spend without worrying about the repercussions.

The money shouldn’t be a problem for Leicester, especially with players departing, though it just depends on how efficiently the cash is used.
