Ruud van Nistelrooy has endured a frustrating spell at Leicester City since his arrival in November 2024.
It’s fair to say that the 2025 January transfer window was a disaster for Leicester City and the Dutchman.
Woyo Coulibably was the only arrival at the King Power Stadium, joining from Serie A outfit Parma for £3m.
After agreeing to replace Steve Cooper in the dugout, Van Nistelrooy wanted Leicester to sign four players.
That, of course, did not happen, leaving the Foxes with a serious mountain to climb in their battle for survival.
Van Nistelrooy was unhappy with Leicester and how their business, or lack thereof, was conducted in the 2025 winter window.
But it appears the club are at least beginning to make plans for the upcoming summer transfer window.

Leicester City could move for Manor Solomon
One of the many problem areas at Leicester this season has been up front with the likes of Jordan Ayew and Patson Daka underperforming and Abdul Fatawu out long term.
Jamie Vardy is also now 38 and could leave for free in the summer when his contract runs out.
One potential forward addition the club are now looking at, however, is Manor Solomon, who is currently on loan at Leeds United from Tottenham Hotspur.
Ben Jacobs, writing for Give Me Sport, reports that Spurs are expected to set a £20m price-tag for the player and Leeds are likely to try and make his move permanent if they win promotion.
However, he added that Leicester may also enter the race for the Tottenham loanee but only if they are able to avoid relegation down to the Championship in 2024/25.
Van Nistelrooy and co. currently five points from safety but do have a game in hand on 17th-place Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The 41-time capped international is a natrual left winger but can also play on the right flank and as a 10.
