Ruud van Nistelrooy has had to deal with a fair few injuries since his King Power arrival.
The Leicester City boss has been without the likes of Wilfred Ndidi and Mads Hermansen in recent weeks – something which has contributed to the Foxes run of seven defeats in a row.
Arguably Leicester’s biggest injury miss this season though has been Abdul Fatawu.
Set to miss the rest of the campaign, Fatawu is currently out with an ACL injury – meaning van Nistelrooy won’t be able to call upon the Ghainian during Leicester’s survival hopes.
There has however been a positive update regarding the fitness of Fatawu, with the 20-year-old being spotted back at the Leicester training ground.

Leicester fans react to Abdul Fatawu injury comeback
The Foxes have undoubtedly missed the Ghanian’s attacking flair in the final third this season – something Leicester fans have been quick to highlight in response to Fatwu’s return.
Speaking on X (formerly) one fan stated: “We need him back asap.”
A third supporter said: “The only positive from this club at the moment.”
“Great to see him back in action,” said another supporter.
One fan even joked that Fatawu showed more workrate in the video than some Leicester players.
Van Nistelrooy will be desperate to get Fatawu back
Having just scored 23 goals so far in the Premier League, van Nistelrooy needs to sign a forward this January.
Leicester only mustered up a disappointing xG of 0.47 at home against Fulham, with chance creation being a real letdown for the Foxes – something Fatawu undoubtedly provides when he’s on the pitch.
Whether it be his mazy dribbling or his blistering pace, the 20-year-old is a constant threat going forward shown by the fact he is still one of Leicester’s top creators this season, despite injury.
| Leicester City’s top assisters 24/25 | |
| Wilfred Ndidi | 4 |
| Jamie Vardy | 3 |
| Facundo Buonanotte | 3 |
| Bilal El Khannouss | 3 |
| Harry Winks | 3 |
| Abdul Fatawu | 2 |
Currently sat 19th in the league without a win in seven, van Nistelrooy will no doubt be wishing he had Fatawu at his disposal during the relegation run-in.
