There really isn’t a lot to smile about if you’re Leicester City fan right now.
The latest setback saw the Foxes beaten by Fulham to leave the East Midlanders 19th in the Premier League table and an ever-growing mountain to climb to stay in the top flight.
John Rudkin was booed by Leicester supporters at the King Power Stadium whilst Ruud van Nistelrooy admitted Fulham deserved to win.
Saturday’s loss was the seventh consecutive league defeat and as attention now turns to Tottenham Hotspur away on Sunday 26 January, all eyes will be on trying to avoid an unwanted record.

The unwanted record Leicester City could match in next game
Leicester’s season seems to be getting worse and worse with each game that passes by and optimism amongst the fanbase dwindles that little bit more.
Van Nistelrooy was criticised by Foxes fans during the game and was also booed for subbing Bilal El Khannouss.
To make matters worse, the loss against Fulham meant that Leicester had lost seven league games in a row for only the fourth time in their history.
As per BBC Sport, Leicester could match their record from 24 years ago in April 2001 when they lost eight league games in a row.
It’s this sort of form that evidently shows why Leicester are where they are in the table and what they must address immediately.

Before the Crystal Palace and Fulham games, four points were a minimum. At the end of this week, Leicester have zero.
This sort of return is not going to keep Leicester up and it’s not going to get any easier.

Games against the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion are all to come across the next two months.
It’s the sort of run that can really make or break the season and considering that the Midlanders have struggled to amass points against games they had targeted as ‘winnable’ already, the odds are stacked against them.
