Leicester City fans will never forget the incredible Premier League title-winning season that saw them beat Tottenham Hotspur to the top spot.
Given odds of 5000/1, the Foxes made a mockery of the pre-season predictions and under Claudio Ranieiri’s guidance, won the top flight by 10 points.
Tottenham were Leicester’s main challengers throughout the season, however, they capitulated at the final hurdle.
Their form was so bad towards the end that they actually finished third instead of second, which Leicester fans mocked by making a banner to represent that.
It wasn’t just the fans who joked about Spurs’ collapse, as some Leicester players got in on the act too.
Jamie Vardy mocked Harry Kane with social media post after title win
The title race between Leicester and Spurs naturally created a rivalry between the two teams.
During a 4-0 win against Stoke City, Spurs fans were heard singing ‘Leicester City, we’re coming for you” and only a fortnight before the Foxes’ were officially crowned champions, striker Harry Kane posted a picture of a pride of lions, presumably to signify that they were hunting down the Foxes.
Kane, who had a mixed loan spell at Leicester, was left with egg on his face though as chief talisman Jamie Vardy had the last laugh.
Shortly after the title win, Vardy then posted the Lion King scene where Mufasa, Simba’s father and king of the pride falls to his death.
To add extra salt to the wounds, Vardy used the exact same caption of ‘….’ to emphasise the point that he was directly responding to Kane.

Harry Kane on the similarities between himself and Jamie Vardy
Vardy and Kane never fell out over the incident and their careers are both similar in some respects.
An iconic photo from Leicester’s play-off defeat against Watford shows Kane and Vardy named amongst the substitutes.
Two years on from the 2013 photo, Vardy and Kane were taking the Premier League by storm and have cemented legacies as some of the best players to ever appear in the top flight.

Speaking about their rise in 2016, Kane told the Mirror: “It just goes to show that you can never stop working hard and never give up.
“At the time, me and Jamie couldn’t even get in the Leicester team. Since then we have both knuckled down. We carried on working hard and believed in ourselves. You only have to see where we are now.
“I think it’s great for other young players coming through the system. When times are down, keep believing, keep working hard and things will pick up.”
