Leicester City will get a welcome break from their Premier League struggles this weekend, instead facing QPR in the FA Cup.
The Foxes have already been knocked out of the Carabao Cup this season, losing 5-2 at the hands of a Manchester United side that was managed by Ruud van Nistelrooy at the time.
The Dutchman is now aiming for cup success at Leicester City, who won the FA Cup for the first time in the 2020/21 season.
Their journey in 2025 begins at 2pm on Saturday, January 11th at the King Power Stadium against Queens Park Rangers.
QPR are 13th in the Championship at present and Leicester should be favourites for the game, though their recent form suggests they could suffer an FA Cup upset.

Ruud van Nistelrooy provides Kasey McAteer injury update
Ahead of the meeting, Van Nistelrooy held his pre-match press conference on Thursday.
The Dutchman discussed a number of topics in the presser, including the fitness of Kasey McAteer.
McAteer started and provided an assist during Ruud’s first game in charge before being selected from the off against Brighton and Hove Albion and Newcastle United.
However, the winger has missed the club’s last four matches with a hamstring problem but when speaking on Thursday, as per Leicestershire Live, Van Nistelrooy confirmed McAteer could return against QPR.
He said: “McAteer is back in full team training and if he can continue that, he will be available for the game.”

Mads Hermansen and Jannik Vestergaard injury latest before Leicester City vs QPR
While it’s good news on the McAteer front, Leicester have also been without number-one goalkeeper Mads Hermansen for some time and Jannik Vestergaard suffered an injury last week.
On the latter, the Leicester boss confirmed he’s a doubt for Saturday but is close to returning to the pitch.
He said: “Jannik has been assessed and he’s made his steps. We’re looking to get him on the pitch today or tomorrow, but it’s doubtful for QPR.”
Hermansen, however, remains out for a few more weeks: “On Mads, there’s no update. He’ll be out for a bit longer. That won’t change over the coming weeks,” Ruud stated.
