Leicester City could be on the look out for a new manager to replace Ruud van Nistelrooy once the 2024/25 campaign draws to a close.
It’s been a complete disaster since Leicester replaced Steve Cooper with Van Nistelrooy in November, as the Foxes have sunk towards an inevitable relegation to the Championship.
Leicester have lost 13 of their last 14 matches in the league and are currently trailing 17th-place Wolves by nine points with under 10 games to go.

Calls to sack Van Nistelrooy have been strong, both from the stands and on social media during the last couple of the months, although the club aren’t able to relieve him of his duties.
Leicester can’t afford to axe Van Nistelrooy currently after letting go of Cooper earlier this season however, there is one manager on their radar if they do eventually get rid of the Dutchman.

Leicester City want Liam Rosenior to replace Ruud van Nistelrooy
According to L’Equipe, Strasbourg manager Liam Rosenior is currently ‘in the sights’ of Leicester City and Southampton, though it is claimed those two clubs don’t pose an immediate threat.
Rosenior has been managing the Ligue 1 side since the summer and is doing a fine job, dragging Strasbourg up to seventh position in the table, only a point shy of European qualification.
The 40-year-old has become one of the most highly-rated English managers, and most of that hype comes from his time at Hull City.
He took charge of the Tigers in November 2022 when they were threatened by relegation, turned them into one of the best defences in the division and dragged them towards safety.
Rosenior then took Hull to the brink of the play-offs last term, finishing seventh in the table and missing out by just three points after a late-season collapse.
It was a shock to the footballing world when owner Acun Ilicali relieved the Englishman of his duties in May, despite him doing a respectable job in East Yorkshire.
But the Turkish businessman wasn’t happy that a play-off finish wasn’t achieved, setting that as a goal after spending heavily in January 2024, and signing the likes of Fabio Carvalho on loan and Ryan Giles from Luton Town.

Rosenior embarrassed Leicester City in 2023/24
During the 2023/24 Championship campaign, Rosenior outclassed Enzo Maresca tactically in September 2023 as Leicester lost 1-0 against Hull City.
It was a perfect away performance from the Tigers, who handed the Foxes their first league defeat of the campaign thanks to a Liam Delap winner.
Speaking after the game, Rosenior said: “It feels great as we have come to a massive club with a fantastic coach and team.
“Not just the win, but the manner of the performance and the way we stuck to our guns and pressed the ball. We played some outstanding football.
“I have been here for eight months and we wouldn’t have been capable of doing that when I first came in. That’s why I keep saying it’s a process.
“All in all it was a really good day and hopefully it gives the lads confidence that we can have a successful season.”
