Leicester City have now confirmed Ruud van Nistelrooy as their new manager, replacing Steve Cooper.
The Foxes have had a rough start to the 2024/25 and could drop into the relegation zone this weekend.
After losing to former manager turned Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca on Saturday, Leicester City sacked Steve Cooper just 24 hours later.
Their search for a replacement saw a number of names linked, with Graham Potter turning Leicester down for the third time in the space of just a few years.
Eventually, though, Ruud van Nistelrooy has been confirmed as the new Leicester manager on Friday.
The ex-centre-forward most recently spent time with Manchester United as interim boss before leaving Old Trafford earlier this month.
Van Nistelrooy will not manage Leicester vs Brentford on Saturday but is expected to be in the dugout on Tuesday when the Foxes take on West Ham United.

Ruud van Nistelrooy facing tough job at Leicester City
While fans are excited about their new manager, the former PSV Eindhoven coach is facing a pretty daunting task.
Before his signing was confirmed, Emile Heskey expressed doubts about Van Nistelrooy taking over Leicester due to his lack of experience.
Other managers like David Moyes and Potter would have brought more experience to the club, with both also playing a lot more in the Premier League.
But it is worth pointing out that Van Nistelrooy won two trophies during his one season at PSV and had Manchester United playing some great football during his brief spell in charge.
