Enzo Maresca has now been warned that there are a couple of concerns heading into the international break after Leicester lost to Middlesbrough.
Leicester City experienced an unprecedented second defeat of the season against Middlesbrough on Saturday.
Due to the defeat, Enzo Maresca has already been warned by former Leicester City man Matt Piper.
But now, podcaster Jack Holmes has joined in with the warnings, insisting that there are ‘one or two’ issues that need to be addressed.
Maresca sent warning
Speaking on the When You’re Smiling podcast, Jack Holmes warned Enzo Maresca of the concerns he had after the Middlesbrough loss.
“There are maybe one or two signs to be a little bit concerned, I don’t think the performances for the last four games potentially have been as good as we’ve seen previous to that and there has been a little drop off, a little bit concerned that we’re becoming too predictable.
“Earlier in the season our wingers were mavericks there was a lot of chaos around them, now we’re getting a little predictable in terms of getting the ball to them, you know what they’re going to do.
“So there are little signs, but if we go and win the next two games, beat Watford, beat Wednesday, we will be very happy again.” “It does feel like it will be a really important period after the international break.”
Leicester’s attack needs a rethink
Maresca needs to find a solution to the slow weeks his attack are facing right now. Drawing blanks in back-to-back games is a poor stat for a side which was previously so reliable.
A striker signing in January for Leicester is also possible with Kelechi Iheanacho and Patson Daka possibly on the way out, and a long term Jamie Vardy replacement being suggested.
The international break will hopefully have revitalised the team and gave Maresca opportunity to find a new plan which can get the most out of his side.
If we had to predict the next run of games, it would be safe to say a run of wins is likely.
