Leicester City are fighting for the Premier League status.

The Foxes have lost nine of their last 10 league games and have plummeted into 19th place, so evidently something needs to change.

Ruud van Nistelrooy must experiment with perhaps a change of shape or dip into the under-21s squad which is producing some fantastic talent.

Leicester have high hopes for Jeremy Monga and Jake Evans, who are training with the first team on a regular basis.

Leicester also expect Sammy Braybrooke to have a big future at the club and after returning from his loan spell with Dundee FC, he is now in contention to start.

With that said, Leicester’s X account have just posted the cracking goal he scored for the under-21s last week.

Sammy Braybrooke’s cracking goal for under-21s

Sammy Braybrooke has been a regular for the under-21s over the last few seasons and was on the verge of breaking into the first team until he suffered a serious knee injury.

That’s slowed down his progression somewhat so he was sent on loan to Scottish Premiership side Dundee FC at the start of the season.

After limited opportunities, City opted to cut his loan spell short in January and he’s now reingreteged back into the reserves.

Braybrooke has picked up where he left off and is really excelling, as evinced by his well-taken finish against Newcastle United last week.

Braybrooke made his first team debut in a League Cup clash against Newport County back in 2022.

Since then, he’s been polishing his skillset with the under-21s and is now really starting to stake a claim to be involved with Van Nistelrooy’s squad.

With Leicester languishing in the relegation zone, clearly something needs to change, so Braybrooke’s inclusion could bring more control to the midfield.

The 20-year-old is of a similar profile to Harry Winks but perhaps a little more attack-minded, as evidenced in the goal above.
