Ahead of Championship football returning this weekend, multiple Leicester City stars were in international action, here’s a round-up.

Leicester City will be keen to return to winning ways this weekend as they face Watford at the King Power Stadium. After back-to-back losses, Enzo Maresca‘s side could drop to second should they fail to beat the Hornets.

Maresca will however have been encouraged by the success that several players have put in for their countries during this latest international break.

Yesterday was no different as there were five Foxes in action, here is how they got on…

Harry Souttar – Australia

Harry Souttar lined out for Australia as they took on Palestine in a 1-0 victory on Tuesday. Souttar was the scorer of the goal which took his international record to an impressive 10 goals in just 22-caps.

He scored in the 18th minute with a powerful header during the contest being played at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium.

Australia are now on six points in World Cup qualifying and already looks likely to be at the 2026 tournament. Souttar hasn’t featured much for Leicester but will be hoping this performance leads to more game time.

Patson Daka – Zambia

Wantaway Leicester striker, Patson Daka was also on the scoresheet for Zambia however unlike Souttar it wasn’t enough to see his side pick up the points.

Daka saw his goal mean little more than a consolation in a 2-1 defeat which leaves them fourth in their World Cup qualifying group.

He will be delighted with the goal though as he almost certainly will be looking for a new club in January.

Abdul Fatawu – Ghana

Elsewhere in African qualifying, Abdul Fatawu featured for Ghana as a late substitute during a 1-0 defeat to Comoros.

Fatawu only made a 10-minute cameo for his country which should see him return to Leicester fully refreshed and ready to go.

Danny Ward – Wales

Elsewhere, in Europe, Danny Ward was handed another cap for Wales to take his tally to 39.

Ward wasn’t able to keep Turkey at bay as Wales drew 1-1 with their opponents in UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying.

It meant that Wales finished third in their group and qualified for the play-offs to reach next summer’s tournament.

Cesare Casadei – Italy U21’s

The final Leicester player to feature on Tuesday was on-loan midfielder Cesare Casadei.

Casadei played the second half for Italy’s U21s against Ireland’s U21s in a Euro U21 qualification match.

The result was a dramatic 2-2 draw which sees Italy remain top of the group just one point above Ireland.
