Steve Cooper will be absent from the touchline for Leicester City’s game against Ipswich Town on Saturday.
Leicester return to Premier League action after suffering a heavy defeat to Manchester United in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
Cooper made nine changes to the XI that lost against Nottingham Forest and it severely backfired.
Many of those won’t be in the side for the six-pointer against relegation rivals Ipswich on Saturday, and Cooper won’t be on the touchline.

Steve Cooper suspended for Leicester’s trip to Ipswich
As confirmed by BBC journalist Owynn Palmer-Atkin, Leicester will be without their manager on the touchline this weekend.
This is because the Welshman picked up his third yellow card of the season after he was spotted arguing with officials after they allowed Man United’s second goal to stand.
Cooper continued his rant in the post-match press conference too, giving an insight into what he may have said to the officials.
He will be able to the dugout after the international break for the Foxes’ game against Chelsea, where they will reunite with Enzo Maresca and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
What happens when a manager gets a yellow card?
The rule that can see managers earn suspensions like players was first introduced in the 2023/24 campaign in a bid to cut out dissent on the touchlines.
Like players, coaching staff can be handed yellow and red cards during games but while a player must receive five bookings to trigger an automatic one-match suspension, the threshold is much lower.
Instead, managers must receive three yellow cards before being suspended for one match.
Eight yellows throughout the season means a two-match suspension and 16 results in a three-game touchline ban and an FA misconduct hearing.
Can a manager watch from the stands if they are suspended?
Cooper will be able to watch the game, but not from the stands.
The 48-year-old will more than likely be able to watch the game from the directors’ box at Portman Road or from another venue.
