Leicester City fans are becoming far too accustomed to that losing feeling this season.
A 2-0 defeat at home to Crystal Palace on Wednesday night was the Foxes’ sixth consecutive league loss and leaves them 19th in the table.

Ruud van Nistelrooy admitted he ‘didn’t see it coming’ when asked about the drop off from the first 45 in comparison to what fans saw after the break.
Large sections of the Leicester fanbase believe they are as good as relegated already and are struggling to find any glimmer of hope.
Sadly, the stats don’t provide much hope either and it’s going to be an uphill battle if the Midlanders want to avoid an immediate return to the Championship.

Leicester City’s record since December makes for grim reading
After the first two games of Van Nistelrooy’s reign, it looked as if there would be a turning point.
Four points from two games against West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion looked positive, but that’s as good as it got.
Bar a 6-2 win against Queens Park Rangers in the FA Cup, every other game has ended in defeat.
In fact, across Leicester’s last eight games they have only managed to pick up four points. To put that into perspective, only Southampton (1) have won fewer.
Brighton and Tottenham Hotspur are ahead with five points, but they are not in a relegation battle and instead have ambitions of European football.
Leicester City cannot afford to lose against Fulham
This weekend’s game really does feel like win or bust for Leicester.
Despite these defeats, the Foxes remain within touching distance of that illustrious 17th spot and should Ipswich Town lose against Brighton tonight (Thursday 16 January), then it’s another lifeline for Van Nistelrooy and co.
Fulham head to the King Power Stadium and are having an excellent season – even if they were beaten midweek.

This weekend’s visitors were the first side Leicester played away from home in the Premier League this campaign and on that occasion, it ended in defeat.
History cannot afford to repeat itself as another defeat would almost certainly be the final nail in the coffin to end a torrid few months.
