It’s another defeat for Leicester City as they were beaten 2-0 at home against Manchester City.

Leicester were the better side but lost to Man City as goals from Savinho and Erling Haaland were enough to make it four defeats in a row.

It means that Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side remain in the bottom three and with a need to turn results around quickly if they want to secure their place in the Premier League next season.

One of those who impressed for the Foxes was Harry Winks and at full-time, several noticed him in deep conversation with one member of the opposition.

Harry Winks spotted speaking to Pep Guardiola moments after latest Leicester loss

Winks was on the losing side but certainly caught the eye of Man City fans on social media.

The Leicester number eight was busy in the middle of the park, dictating the play and linking the Foxes’ defence and attack.

He and Boubakary Soumare formed a strong partnership and it seemingly impressed opposition boss Pep Guardiola, who was spotted speaking to Winks at the full time whistle.

Details of the conversation are yet to be revealed at the time of writing but in the footage on Sky Sports the former England international was spotted laughing and talking with the former Barcelona manager, who is well known for his post-match explanations.

Winks is known as one of the best players in the top flight when in possession and he showed that in abundance on Sunday.

The 28-year-old was close to a 100% pass-completion rate and had plenty of touches on the ball at the King Power Stadium.

His return to the side has coincided with an upturn in performances and as one of Leicester’s best players in 2024, he is bound to have an important part to play in the rest of the season.
