Gary Lineker was one of Leicester City’s greatest players and is now one of the club’s biggest supporters.
Nowadays, Lineker is one of the many celebrities who support Leicester and the boyhood Foxes fan is never one to shy away from his unwaouvering love for the club.
From presenting Match of the Day in his underpants after making a promise if Leicester won the Premier League in 2016 to being at Wembley Stadium to witness the Foxes win the FA Cup for the first time in the club’s history.
He also played in some big occasions for England, but even the tension of the 1990 World Cup didn’t compare to watching his side.

Lineker was more nervous watching Leicester than playing for England
We often forget that professional footballers are fans too and for Lineker, the chance to see Leicester win the FA Cup for the first time was a huge moment.
Italia ’90 was also huge as England reached the semi-finals, only to be knocked out.
The nerves would’ve been enough to get the better of anyone but before that day in May 2021, the Leicester legend admitted he was more nervous about the FA Cup final than the World Cup semi final.
He tweeted: “Haven’t felt this nervous about a game since probably the semi-final of Italia ’90.
“At least I had the excuse of playing in that game and potentially letting the country down.
“Now I’m just a fan and it’s so much worse. Come on @LCFC let’s win it, just the once, please.”
Leicester City won the FA Cup in 2021
Thankfully, Lineker and every other Leicester fan saw their wildest dreams come true as they beat Chelsea 1-0.
Youri Tielemans’ piledriver effort from range was the difference between the two sides as the Foxes won the FA Cup final at the fifth attempt following four previous defeats in finals over the years.
Although winning the Premier League was sensational, the FA Cup was the one that all fans dreamed of, especially after having to wait so long to finally do it.
Now, the Foxes can boast to be one of the few clubs that has won every major honour in English football.
