Young Leicester City duo feature for Wales U21s in Andorra win, one of them scored

It’s the international break and that means there are plenty of Leicester City stars playing around the globe.

Leicester have several players out on international duty – all from different age ranges.

While the more senior names face the prospect of Nations League knockout games or World Cup qualifiers, there are plenty of youngsters in action and two of them played for Wales U21s in their game against Andorra.

Chris Popov scores for Wales U21 while another youngster makes bench

He may be out on loan at League Two Barrow, but Chris Popov is still a Leicester player by trade.

Popov made his senior debut against Tranmere Rovers in the Carabao Cup earlier this season but was sent out on loan to get more first-team experience.

It seems the former Manchester United youngster made an impact too as he scored the only goal of the game, scoring in the 24th minute.

Logan Briggs, who trained with Leicester’s first team earlier this season, also featured. He started the game as a substitute but was brought off the bench and got stuck in, earning himself a yellow card.

Every Leicester City player to represent Wales

The Foxes can boast a host of players to have represented the club, as well as played for Wales.

Over the years, 25 Leicester players have featured for the Red Dragons, with the most notable names being Andy King, Robbie Savage and Iwan Roberts.

List includes playing for Wales at youth level

Danny Ward is the only senior Leicester player to still be representing the Welsh senior squad with the rest either moving on or only playing at youth level
