One Leicester City new signing should be at the top of Steve Cooper’s list to be brought in vs Everton.

Leicester City will be looking to get their first win on the board of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign against a struggling Everton side at the King Power Stadium.

There is no doubt that it looks to be a massive opportunity for Steve Cooper’s side to build on their decent performances against Aston Villa and Crystal Palace, where they have been unlucky to come away with just one point from the two fixtures.

It is clear that Leicester City have improved on the attacking front in recent weeks, however Cooper may still look to shake around his options against Everton, with him having plenty of squad depth available to be brought in.

It could be likely that Jordan Ayew could be dropped following a rather unsatisfactory performance against his former side Crystal Palace, and as a result, one new Foxes signing could be handed his first start for Cooper’s side.

Steve Cooper must utilise Bilal El Khannouss for Leicester City vs Everton

Cooper has various options available to him when looking to bolster the attacking front, with the likes of new signings Odsonne Edouard, Facundo Buonanotte and Bobby De Cordova-Reid.

However, one name who should spring to Cooper’s mind when looking to potentially introduce a different dimension to his attack is undoubtedly Bilal El Khannouss, who Leicester City brought in for big money this summer.

He has only been handed one appearance for the Foxes, coming off the bench in the home defeat against Aston Villa.

Bilal El Khannouss would transform Leicester City’s attack

The Foxes most certainly put in a solid attacking performance against Crystal Palace, with Stephy Mavididi and Jamie Vardy both getting on the scoresheet in the 2-2 draw.

Both Vardy and Mavididi will likely start for Cooper’s side yet again, but there remains doubt over Ayew, who didn’t offer as much as the other two attackers, and El Khannouss could potentially offer another dimension out wide.

Whilst the Moroccan international’s strong point is playing through the middle of the midfield, Wilfred Ndidi’s performance against Crystal Palace has also made him undroppable after contributing two assists, but there are no doubts that El Khannouss could transform the side, as he was able to do so for Genk.

With Leicester City already having Vardy up top in the poacher role, they would be better suited in having a creative player out wide, as opposed to a goalscorer, and El Khannouss’ abilities and stats certainly point towards him being able to do this, which could easily bring the very best out of the former England international.
