Several Leicester City players may have already lined out for the final time under Ruud van Nistelrooy.
The Dutchman was appointed as Steve Cooper’s replacement last month and has so far taken charge of two games.
Leicester City won and drew those fixtures but there are still plenty of problems Ruud van Nistelrooy needs to sort out.
Relegation remains a real possibility but the Foxes can now use the January transfer window for something of a mini rebuild.
We have previously provided an update on Leicester’s financial situation, with it expected the club will likely see sales outweigh new arrivals in January.
With this in mind, Leicester City News have now picked out three players who could have already played their last game for the club ahead of January.

Three players who may have already played their last game for Leicester City
Luke Thomas
Luke Thomas is a product of Leicester’s academy but has so far largely failed to break into their senior side.
He spent the second half of last season out on loan at Middlesbrough and his game time in 2024/25 has been very limited.
Thomas’ only appearance in the Premier League this term came in the 4-1 drubbing at the hands of Brentford and he has been left on the bench during Ruud’s first two games at the helm.
Should Leicester sign a full-back this winter, it makes sense for the Englishman to be moved on.
Hamza Choudhury
Hamza Choudhury is perhaps the least likely star on this list to have already played his last game before January.
However, with midfield one of the few positions Leicester are well stocked in right now, he is unlikely to see any minutes there going forward.
Choudhury can also cover at right-back but again, January additions may lead to his exit this winter.
The 27-year-old has notched just 14 minutes of league action in 2024/25, which came against Crystal Palace back in September.

Odsonne Edouard
Odsonne Edouard has struggled at Leicester after moving on loan from Crystal Palace on deadline day.
The striker is still yet to find the back of the net in the top flight for the Foxes, with Jamie Vardy, Patson Daka, and Jordan Ayew all ahead of him in the pecking order.
Oliver Glasner doesn’t want Edouard back at Crystal Palace but with the former Celtic man taking up one of Leicester’s Premier League loan slots, it doesn’t make sense for him to stay in the Midlands beyond January.
