Centre-back seems like the number one priority for Leicester City in the January transfer window.
Leicester have been linked with several central defenders across the globe as Ruud van Nistelrooy looks to stop the rot of conceding goals for fun in the Premier League.
The Foxes seem to be particularly interested in defenders from Ligue 1 and have reportedly held interest in the likes of Chancel Mbemba and Lilian Brassier.
Another defender on the radar is a fully-fledged international star and is being touted with a move to the King Power Stadium.
Leicester linked with Uzbek international Abdukodir Khusanov

Various reports have linked Leicester Lens defender Abdukodir Khusanov with a move to England this winter.
The Uzbekistan international, 20, has been one of the standout players in Ligue 1 last week and his goal against PSG in the Coupe de France only elevated his status even more.
Khusanov is valued at £25m, however, meaning that it would be difficult for the Foxes to complete a deal given the need to comply with profit and sustainability rules.
Super agent Jorge Mendes has been tasked with finding the centre-back a new move and it feels like a matter of time before he ends up in the English top flight.

What has Lens manager Will Still said about Leicester-linked Abdukodir Khusanov?
Lots of praise has to go to Khusanov’s head coach for his development at Lens this season.
Still has partnered him alongside Kevin Danso as the Ligue 1 side in a back three where he has continued to shone and his current boss believes he can go all the way to the top.

Earlier this season, he said: “He’s calm, powerful, he’s fast. He doesn’t talk but he’s good. When I arrived, with the departure of Kev [Danso] in sight, Jean-Louis Leca [Lens’ sports coordinator] told me: ‘Don’t worry, there’s Kodir who is here, and he’s ready.’ He wasn’t wrong. He has very, very impressive potential.”
Khusanov has already made history by becoming the first-ever Uzbek player to play in the French top flight and was previously included in the Football Observatory’s most promising youngsters list – ranking 15th in terms of centre-backs.
