Leicester City could be set to strengthen their backline in the upcoming transfer window.
The Foxes are in danger of suffering relegation to the Championship in the 2024/25 season.
One of the many areas Leicester City are underperforming in right now is at the back.
Ahead of the latest round of Premier League fixtures, Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side have the third-worst defensive record in the top flight behind only Southampton and their upcoming opponents, Wolverhampton Wanderers.

With relegation a real possibility, fans are no doubt desperate for their club to strengthen in the 2025 winter transfer window.
Leicester have been linked with Ben Godfrey – formerly of Everton now plying his trade in the Serie A with Atalanta BC.
Godfrey is a versatile stopper who could help Van Nistelrooy sure up his side’s leaky backline.
Now, another centre-back has, on Thursday, been tipped to make a move to the King Power Stadium.

Leicester City rival Manchester City for Abdukodir Khusanov
The player in question is Abdukodir Khusanov, who is currently on the books of Ligue 1 team, RC Lens.
A report from French outlet L’Equipe claims Lens are looking to sell several players in the upcoming January transfer window.
One of those is Khusanov, with a number of clubs from around Europe holding an interest in the 20-year-old.
Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United were already keen on the defender, while Manchester City, Leicester and RB Leipzig have now joined the race.
Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid are thought to have looked at the player as well.
In terms of a potential price tag, Lens want to recoup between €25-30m (around £20-£30m) for Khusanov.

What Leicester City fans could expect from Abdukodir Khusanov
The Uzbekistan international joined Lens in 2023 and has since made 30 appearances for their senior team.
Khusanov has firmly cemented himself a regular starter for the French club in 2024/25 and earned high praise from current teammate Brice Samba, who dubbed him a ‘monster’, as per GetFootballNewsFrance.
Manager Will Still has also praised him highly, saying: “He is calm, powerful, he is quick. It’s Kodir! He doesn’t speak a lot but he is good. At the start, it amazed me to see his strength, his physical shape.”
Interestingly when looking at Khusanov on stat-based site Fbref, the Lens ace is said to be similar to current Leicester player, Caleb Okoli.
Okoli has endured mixed displays since his summer move to England but there’s a quality player in there.
