Leicester City’s January transfer window is starting to take shape.

Woyo Coulibaly is on the verge of joining Leicester after the club struck a £3m agreement with Serie A outfit Parma.

Coulibaly has already completed his medical and could be announced ahead of the Crystal Palace clash this evening.

As well as that deal, Leicester have recalled Tom Cannon and could immediately offload him on a permanent deal to Sunderland or Sheffield United.

If that transpires, City will have additional funds to spend this month, with Ruud van Nistelrooy keen on signing another three players.

There’s lots of moving parts going on at Leicester at the moment and with that said, another loan star has just returned to Seagrave.

Leicester recall Amani Richards from Exeter City

Exeter City announced on Wednesday morning that Leicester have decided to recall Amani Richards from his season-long loan deal.

Richards, who is a winger by trade, was a regular for City’s under-21s last term and registered a respectable eight goal involvements in 19 outings.

A switch to League One seemed like the natural step in his development but it simply didn’t work out as he played just 200 minutes of football.

Richards hasn’t been in the Grecians’ matchday squad since November, so it was inevitable that he’d return to City this month.

Where next for Richards?

Clearly another loan move beckons for Richards, though, perhaps he may have to step down a level to League Two.

It’d be far more beneficial for the 20-year-old to have a second crack at professional football rather than return to the reserve set-up at City.

So the club will likely be working on a six-month loan deal for the jet-heeled wide player between now and the end of the window – which slams shut on February the 3rd.
