Leicester City are expected to receive late interest from one of their players on transfer deadline day.

Foxes fans really don’t have a lot to cheer about with the final 12 hours of the window now nearly here.

Leicester City made one addition to their first-team squad earlier in the transfer window but it’s been slow going since then.

Ruud van Nistlerooy wanted four players to arrive in the winter but no more arrivals are likely before 11pm this evening.

Leicester fans have been left furious amid claims their team are unlikely to make any more signings and their ire may grow if a star is sold.

European club pushing to sign Leicester City star Caleb Okoli

Caleb Okoli only joined Leicester during the summer from Serie A outfit Atalanta BC but his future has already been called into doubt.

Okoli’s agent revealed that Serie A clubs had made contact over a move for the central defender last month.

He’s seen very little game time since Van Nistelrooy joined the club and now, a fresh update on the stopper has emerged.

Italian outlet Sport Italia reported on Monday morning that Parma, who were linked with Okoli in January, could make a late attempt to sign him on loan until the end of the 2024/25 season.

Ruud van Nistelrooy stance on selling Leicester players

Okoli has been labeled ‘promising’ previously but has fallen out of favour in the Midlands in recent months.

But with Leicester not expected to sign anybody today, Van Nistelrooy stance on transfer exits is already clear.

Speaking after the meeting with Everton on Saturday, the manager was asked about a potential move for Luke Thomas.

And he gave a very brief but clear verdict, saying: “Not when there’s no players in.”

In turn, even if Parma do come back in for Okoli, it seems unlikely Leicester will be open to sanctioning a move.
