Ruud van Nistelrooy has confirmed that he won’t sell any players despite interest heading into transfer deadline day.

Van Nistelrooy’s latest transfer update was uninspiring to say the least when asked if he would bring anymore new faces to the club.

Woyo Coulibaly is Leicester’s only addition this month, with all of their other business focused on outgoings.

Youngster Will Alves will be the next to depart after the Foxes agreed a deal to send him on loan to Cardiff City for the season.

One other player has been of interest to other clubs, however, Van Nistelrooy confirmed that he would remain at the King Power Stadium.

Ruud van Nistelrooy confirms Luke Thomas will stay at Leicester

Despite finding gametime limited, it looks as if Luke Thomas‘ future will be to remain at Leicester.

Thomas has only played once under Van Nistelrooy and not even been on the bench in the last two games, hinting that his future may lie elsewhere.

Hoffenheim have been interested in Thomas but the full-back has been told that he won’t be sold this winter due to the lack of incomings.

Asked if the 23-year-old would leave, Van Nistelrooy said: “Not when there’s no players in.”

As well as Thomas, Wilfred Ndidi has been linked with Monaco in recent days but his agent stated that the midfielder had no desire to leave.

When is transfer deadline day?

This year, the transfer window closes on Monday 3 February 2025 at 11:00PM in England and Scotland.

Even though it is typically known as the January transfer window the decision to close it on 3 February was taken to align with the top five European leagues (France, Germany, Italy and Spain).

Meanwhile, the transfer window in Turkey closes on 11 February and the window shut in Saudi Arabia on 30 January.
