Leicester City have less than a week to go until the transfer window slams shut and right now, they seem a long way off from doing any more business.

One player has joined the Foxes this month, Woyo Coulibaly, who signed from Parma over a week ago.

Tom Cannon departed for Sheffield United to add some extra cash to the transfer pot and a host of younger players have been recalled from loan spells.

There is still time for it all to change but with time running out, it seems that loans will be Leicester’s best hope of fresh faces.

More players could be on their way out too and one including one star who has been at the at club for his whole career.

Leicester City transfer news: Luke Thomas wanted by Bundesliga club

It seems that Hamza Choudhury is destined to head to Sheffield United and another graduate of the Leicester academy is going to follow suit.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Luke Thomas is wanted by Bundesliga side Hoffenheim.

Romano has claimed that Hoffenheim have made “multiple offers” for the left-back, but none of them meet the valuation that the Foxes want.

Thomas impressed against Aston Villa but has found gametime hard to come by, playing just five times in all competitions across this season.

Ruud van Nistelrooy must get rid of Leicester deadwood

There’s a lot of players at the King Power Stadium that are earning high wages and not playing football.

Capology states that Thomas is earning £15,000-a-week, which is by no means the biggest salary, but could be better spent elsewhere.

New signing Coulibaly can play left-back and right-back, as can James Justin, which will only see Thomas fall further down the pecking order.

Relegation battle or not, Ruud van Nistelrooy has decisions to make on his squad and when offers for the likes of Thomas come in, moving them on for any kind of fee must be considered.
