Leicester City look set to wrap up a deal for Bayer Leverkusen striker Adam Hlozek in a move that will please Steve Cooper ahead of the Premier League kick-off against Tottenham Hotspur on Monday.
Steve Cooper has made five signings since taking over from Enzo Maresca as Leicester City manager, with Adam Hlozek expected to soon be the sixth.
Abdul Fatawu made last season’s loan move permanent, whilst Michael Golding, Caleb Okoli and Bobby De Cordova-Reid have also joined the first-team ranks.
The most recent arrival is Brighton attacking midfielder Facundo Buonanotte who should provide a creative spark on a season-long loan.
Cooper wanted a striker this summer – a desire only heightened by injuries to Jamie Vardy and Patson Daka – and he now looks set get his man in Hlozek.

Fabrizio Romano reveals terms of Adam Hlozek move to Leicester City
Leicester’s pursuit of a striker ahead of their return to the Premier League saw the Foxes lodge a £23 million bid for Panathinaikos striker Fotis Ioannidis.
However, the club’s attention quickly turned to Hlozek when it became clear a deal for the Czech striker was more likely.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has now revealed the terms of the deal with Bayer Leverkusen, with Leicester including a clause that protects them financially should they suffer relegation this season.
Romano posted on ‘X’: “One more round of talks today for Adam Hlozek to join Leicester City as deal is done between clubs.
“Player’s camp set to discuss with Leicester on contract terms today then it will be completed.
“€20 million (£17m) potential package; loan with buy obligation if Leicester avoid relegation.”
Hlozek signing gives Leicester a chance in the Premier League

It will be reassuring for Leicester to see their owners being sensible in the transfer market after PSR woes early in the summer resulted in the sale of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to Chelsea.
The club are also currently embroiled in an appeal against a charge from the Premier League relating to alleged historic breaches of PSR.
A points deduction is the biggest worry for Foxes fans this season, leaving the side with a real uphill battle to survive upon their top flight return.

However, having Hlozek leading the line will significantly increase Cooper’s chances of keeping Leicester in the division.
A powerful focal point that Leicester’s attackers can play off, Hlozek scored seven goals and provided five assists in just 11 starts in all competitions for Bayer Leverkusen last season.
Vardy will not be able to go on forever and Daka is wasteful in front of goal so Hlozek could be the man to fire Leicester to safety this season.
