Leicester City lost their second consecutive pre-season friendly on Saturday, losing 1-0 to Augsburg just over a week after suffering defeat by the same scoreline against Palermo.
Whist results are perhaps not the most important thing in pre-season, Steve Cooper will be concerned by the two defeats.
The Leicester City side sent out to face their Bundesliga opponents on Saturday is likely to closely resemble the one that will line-up against Tottenham Hotspur in the first game of the new season on August 19.
One thing that will frustrate Cooper is that the only goal of the game against Augsburg came from a set-piece, whilst the Foxes themselves struggled to create much in the way of chances just two weeks out from the start of the season.
There was one positive, though, as Bobby De Cordova-Reid impressed in a new role having arrived for free this summer.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid impresses in attacking midfield role for Leicester
The signing of De Cordova-Reid following the expiration of his Fulham contract looks a shrewd bit of business for a club that have to be clever in the transfer market this summer in order to compete.
With 129 Premier League appearances across his career, and the fact he has played everywhere from right-back to centre-forward, De Cordova-Reid should be a real asset this season.
The 31-year-old was one of few positives for Leicester against Augsburg and managed to impress despite Cooper’s side lacking a cutting edge in Germany.
It looks as though Cooper is keen to utilise De Cordova-Reid as an attacking midfielder and this is the role he played on Saturday.
Leicestershire Live were complimentary of the Jamaican’s performance in their match-ratings, giving De Cordova-Reid and seven out of ten alongside commenting: “A bright spark. He supported Fatawu and made lots of good runs inside the box to make himself an option.
“Gradually, City started to find him regularly too. His delightful one-two with Mavididi was maybe the promising moment of the match.”
Leicester need more firepower despite De Cordova-Reid performance

One thing is certain for Leicester and that is that unless they make some attacking editions goals will be hard to come by in the Premier League this season.
Jamie Vardy looks set to miss the start of the season through injury and even when fit he is now 37, whilst Patson Daka is far from prolific.
Kelechi Iheancaho has left the club on a free and, whilst De Cordova-Reid has signed and Abdul Fatawu has made his loan permanent, Leicester look incredibly light in attack.

Cooper could be about to see his options improved by the addition of Watford winger Yaser Asprilla for a fee in the region of £21 million but you would still be hard-pressed to find a Leicester fan who does not feel they still need more.
With the financial woes the club are currently dealing with, whether that happens or not is very much up in the air.
