Leicester City may not be doing much in the transfer window but some of their former players are experiencing a busy end to the window.
Ruud van Nistelrooy’s transfer update hinted that there wouldn’t be many more incomings after initially wanting four players in key positions.
Several players have headed out on loan this month whilst a host of other sides around the Foxes are strengthening their sides.
One of the positions Leicester want to add to is the striker role. Jamie Vardy, Patson Daka and Odsonne Edouard are the only options available to Van Nistelrooy right now and with Vardy the only one scoring, there is a sense of desperation.
But, despite seemingly getting no closer to landing one of their targets, another former Fox appears to be on the move.

Middlesbrough transfer news: Kelechi Iheanacho set for medical ahead of move
Kelechi Iheanacho hasn’t had it easy since leaving Leicester in the summer.
Iheanacho has failed to hit the ground running at Sevilla and was recently defended by his manager following claims Iheanacho was overweight.
The move hasn’t worked, with the Nigerian scoring two goals – both in Copa del Rey ties against lower league opposition – and is now set to be given a lifeline by Championship club Middlesbrough.
Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph revealed that the forward has arrived in Teesside to underdgo a medical ahead of a loan spell until the end of the season.
Middlesbrough are also reported to be paying a large proportion of his wages and have beaten Celtic to his signature following interest from the Scottish giants.
Kelechi Iheanacho has fond memories of Leicester City
Although his career has somewhat stalled now, Iheanacho can always look back on his time at Leicester with pride.
During his seven-year association the forward won the FA Cup, Community Shield and Championship, scoring over 60 goals in that time.
His FA Cup goalscoring prowess is what he is remembered best for, especially in the run all the way to the final in 2021.
After his departure in summer 2024, Iheanacho admitted he would always have fond memories of the Foxes.
“Last season was one of mixed emotions. I played the first half of the season but I didn’t really get a chance in the second part of the season. But most importantly, as a team, we won the trophy,” he said via Leicestershire Live.
“We were a good group together. We did it for all of us and for the football club. That was the most important thing. It’s a nice football club and a good family. It was great to end with a smile and a trophy.”
