Leicester City could already be losing one of their summer signings, however, they have already thought about his replacement.
Ruud van Nistelrooy is working tirelessly to bring in new additions which he will hope can help stop the rot and secure Leicester’s place in the Premier League for next season.
The Foxes have lost their last five games and are second from bottom in the table as it stands and Opta has Leicester as one of the favourites to be relegated.

Gary Lineker wants Van Nistelrooy to sign a defender in January and whilst he’ll be happy to see the Foxes linked with one, it could be at the extent of another.

Leicester linked with Thomas Kristensen as Caleb Okoli tipped to make Italy return
The player in question that could be leaving this month is Caleb Okoli.
Despite joining in the summer, Okoli has been linked with a move back to Italy after reportedly being deemed suprlus to requirements by Van Nistelrooy.
Okoli has been in and out of the first team since his £15m move but according to Rudy Galetti, is closing in on a return to Serie A to join Parma.
Leicester already need a replacement, especially after Jannik Vestegaard went off injured for the Foxes and they have been tipped to go for Thomas Kristensen.
The defender is supposedly being watched over by Leicester and have allegedly asked for information on the centre-back’s availability following interest from other European clubs.
Who is Thomas Kristensen?
Thomas Kristensen is a 22-year-old central defender playing for Serie A side Udinese.
He was born in Gallen, Denmark on 17 January 2022 and began his youth career at Galten before joining AGF.
Kristensen played for AGF between 2018 and 2023, making his senior debut in September 2021.
His performances earned himself the Martin Jørgensen Talent Award, which is named after one of the Danish club’s legends before joining Udinese in September 2023.
The 22-year-old has only played eight games this season after missing a chunk of matches through inury.
On the international stage, Kristensen has represented Denmark 11 times, scoring one goal and will be familiar to Leicester’s Danish trio of Mads Hermansen, Victor Kristiansen and Jannik Vestegaard.
