Leicester City transfer news involving Conor Coady has now emerged and Foxes’ fans are very pleased.

Leicester City’s 2025 winter transfer window is finally kicking into life during the remaining 10 hours of the window it seems.

The Foxes have only made one addition all month but have now been linked with two players in the space of a few hours.

In a bid to find a replacement for the injured Abdul Fatawu, Leicester are looking at Loum Tchaouna of Lazio.

Now, the Midlands outfit could be about to strengthen their backline with a swap deal.

A report has emerged in the last hour which claims Leicester could sign Craig Dawson from Wolves with Conor Coady going the other way.

Leicester City fans mock Wolves over Conor Coady transfer

Coady joined Leicester from Wolves in 2023 and has since made 31 appearances for the club.

However, his form, especially in the current campaign, has not been great.

As a result, upon hearing news of the swap deal, Foxes fans have taken to social media to react, with a number opting to mock their relegation rivals.

One fan wrote: “Wolves clearly need somebody to fill out their podcast schedule. Good riddance if true.”

A second wrote: “I’d take that. Wolves get a podcaster pretending to be a defender, Leicester get a defender.”

“We get a half-decent experienced defender, they can have the cheerleader and bench warmer back. Coady seems like a nice fella but it’s all talk. Barely plays must be on a fortune and when he does play he’s not that good.”

Another Leicester fan joked: “Just relegate us both,” while a fifth stated: “I would take a sack of potatoes over Coady so a good deal.”

While a sixth added: “Snap that up Coady is pointless.”

Conor Coady vs Craig Dawson

The potential swap deal is an interesting one for both sets of fans who, in reality, probably won’t benefit much from the moves.

As Leicester fans are well aware, Coady just isn’t good enough to be competing in the Premier League anymore, often making silly mistakes and giving the ball away when trying to play out from the back.

On the other hand, Dawson doesn’t seem to have fared much better in the 2024/25 campaign, with some Wolves fans claiming his legs have gone.

Dawson has made 15 Premier League appearances so far this term but has been left on the bench for Wolves’ last four league matches.
