Leicester City fans may be surprised to learn their club have been considering strengthening in one area.
With just over two weeks of the January transfer window gone, the Foxes are still yet to sign a player.
That is likely to change very soon, however, with Leicester City expected to sign Woyo Coulibaly from Parma.
Coulibaly’s addition will provide Ruud van Nistelrooy with much-needed quality depth at right-back after what has been, despite a brace in the FA Cup over the weekend, a nightmare season from James Justin.
Away from a full-back, Leicester have been linked with several centre-backs over the course of the last few weeks.
This makes sense given their dire defensive record and the form of players like Wout Faes.
The addition of another winger does make sense as well now Abdul Fatawu is out for the season but another area could be targeted by the club this month.

Leicester City consider targeting shock position in January transfer window
However, it’s now emerged that the Foxes have looked at strengthening in a pretty surprising position this month.
Journalist Tom Collomosse reported on X/Twitter that ‘Leicester have considered moving for a goalkeeper’ in the 2025 winter window.
Jakub Stolarczyk earned praise from Ruud van Nistelrooy following his Premier League debut between the sticks.
The keeper was called upon following Danny Ward’s poor form and Mad Hemansen being sidelined.
However, despite Stolarczyk faring well in the top flight, Collomosse added Leicester are looking at a keeper ‘as they try to understand for how long Mads Hermansen will be sidelined.’

When will Mads Hermansen return for Leicester City
Hermansen has been dubbed ‘vital’ to Leicester staying in the Premier League beyond the current season, so his absence is, of course, a blow.
However, Van Nistelrooy provided an update on the Leicester goalkeeper at the beginning of January, suggesting he’d be out for at least a couple of weeks.
Again, that’s not an ideal situation for a side fighting relegation but if the Midlands outfit have considered bringing in a replacement, the Dane’s injury may be more serious and more long-term than has previously been suggested.
Leicester face Crystal Palace in a Premier League meeting on Wednesday evening and it’ll be interesting to see if Ruud is quizzed on Hermansen post-match.
