Leicester City’s senior and U21 Premier League squads for the remainder of 2024/25 have been confirmed.

Leicester City are having a dire campaign so far and are in danger of being relegated from the top flight, just one season after winning promotion.

Ruud van Nistelrooy replaced Steve Cooper after he won just two of his opening 12 league games but the former Manchester United man has not fared much better.

The Dutchman has two wins also and is currently on a run of just one victory in eight Premier League matches.

Van Nistelrooy’s record compared to Steve Cooper’s is actually arguably worse and something will need to change if they are to stay up.

The January transfer window was a disaster for Leicester as well so as expected, there aren’t any real changes to club’s squads for the rest of the campaign.

Leicester City pry Bless Akolbire away from Arsenal

The most notable name in the recent squads that have been released on the Premier League‘s official website is Bless Akolbire.

Akolbire began his youth playing career with Colchester United before signing for Premier League giants Arsenal in 2020.

He has featured 19 times for the Gunners at U19 level, scoring one and assisting one.

The 18-year-old has already lined out for Leicester, making two U18 Premier League appearances against West Ham United and Reading, and has now been named in their 51-man U21 (Contract and Scholars) squad.

Leicester City’s confirmed 25-man Premier League squad

As well as their U21 list, Leicester’s senior 25-man Premier League team for the remainder of 2024/25 has been confirmed.

New signing Woyo Coulibably has been included but there is little else for fans to get excited about. The full team can be seen below:

Only 24 players have been selected, meaning Leicester could sign a free agent to improve their squad in the remainder of 2024/25 if they wish.
