The end of the season is approaching rapidly and Leicester City are one of those expected to be busy in the summer transfer window.

Several stars are expected to leave Leicester in the summer as Ruud van Nistelrooy, or any other manager that could replace him, performs major surgery on the squad.

Some Foxes first-teamers are simply not good enough whilst relegation to the Championship would unfortunately see some of their better players depart.

That relies on offers coming in for those talents, however, and one Leicester star is being tipped an option for top flight clubs.

Mads Hermansen expected to be linked with transfer away

Mads Hermansen has been one of the few positives associated to Leicester this season.

Despite the Foxes’ lowly Premier League position, Hermansen has impressed in-between the sticks and according to The Telegraph, could be a ‘wildcard’ pick for teams this summer.

Mike McGrath wrote: “One wildcard on the market is Leicester’s Mads Hermansen, who has been quietly impressive despite his club struggling this season and looking almost certain to be relegated to the Championship. At 24, he is a good age for a team to invest in the goalkeeper.”

Hermansen is among the Leicester players who have had the most minutes this season, despite a two-month injury lay-off.

Enzo Maresca is a huge fan of the Foxes ‘keeper too and Chelsea are one of the clubs heavily linked with his signature.

Which clubs will be interested in Mads Hermansen transfer?

There’s several clubs that are likely to have their eye on the young Dane.

Kasper Schmeichel tipped Hermansen to be Denmark’s number one and that will only attract other clubs.

Andre Onana has struggled at Manchester United and Ruben Amorim may fancy a younger option for the long term.

Chelsea are also a possibility and then overseas, clubs like Bayern Munich and Inter Milan have ageing goalkeepers in Manuel Neuer and Yann Sommer. Hermansen may be considered low-risk options for them and certainly has the potential to compete for a number one spot.
