Leicester City are expected to make more additions before deadline day later this week.

The Premier League transfer window slams shut at 11pm BST on Friday, August 30th.

Leicester City have so far brought six new first-team players to the King Power in the current transfer window.

However, after failing to pick up a win in their opening two games of the campaign, the Foxes are still looking to make further signings in the next few days.

Leicester are trying to replace Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall who left for Chelsea earlier this summer and have submitted an offer for KRC Genk star Bilal El Khannouss.

A new striker could also be on the way to the Midlands before the August 30th deadline.

This comes as Leicester are ‘closing in’ on £6m deal for Jordan Ayew from Crystal Palace, which will allow the club to sell Tom Cannon.

Leicester City transfer priority now revealed

Even with the addition of Ayew, however, another player could still sign for the club before Friday.

Journalist Charlotte Duncker has provided a transfer update on Leicester in The Times this week.

And, as well as a striker, Steve Cooper is thought to want another attacking midfielder brought in before deadline day.

She wrote: “Steve Cooper has made it clear the club needs more signings this week and the hierarchy are working to get deals over the line before Friday’s deadline.

“An attacking midfielder and a forward are the priorities.”

Who will Leicester City sign this week

Facundo Buonanotte joined Leicester from Brighton and Hove Albion on loan earlier this month and has already impressed for his new club.

Despite the Argentine’s best efforts, though, Cooper clearly feels he need another attacking midfielder for the Foxes.

El Khannouss could fill this role but he is more of a central midfielder, meaning Leicester will likely have to look elsewhere.

As for another forward, Ayew is not a prolific goalscorer so it is easy to see why Cooper wants another attacker.

Leicester have asked about Santiago Gimenez of Feyenoord but he now looks set to join rivals Nottingham Forest, leaving the search for another striker hanging in the balance.
