Leicester City have made eight signings this summer, but Steve Cooper is still desperate to get one key position addressed on Transfer Deadline Day.
Steve Cooper saw the shackles come off somewhat at Leicester City following the sale of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall early in the summer to help avoid a PSR breach.
Astute deals for Bobby De Cordova-Reid, Jordan Ayew and a loan for Facundo Buonanotte have been complimented by bigger money moves for Oliver Skipp and most-recently Bilal El Khannouss.
Leicester saw fit to pay £21 million for attacking midfielder El Khannous from Genk to add further creativity to Cooper’s side and could continue their spending to address another crucial area before tonight’s 11pm transfer deadline.

Steve Cooper could sign Leicester City striker on loan before transfer window closes
Leicester were boosted ahead of their first game of the new season as Jamie Vardy unexpectedly declared himself fit despite picking up an injury in the first friendly of pre-season.
Vardy is Leicester’s talisman but will need help with the goalscoring burden at 37 and, with Patson Daka ruled out for the foreseeable future with an ankle problem, Cooper could dip into the loan market to sign another striker on Deadline Day.
That is according to Leicestershire Live, who name Chelsea duo David Datro Fofana and Armando Broja as strikers the club have been linked with this summer.
The Leicestershire Live report states that ‘while they may be available on quick loan deals, City’s interest in them has so far not been backed up’.
The report goes on to add: ‘But it’s possible, with all of the moving parts on deadline day, that another loan striker could emerge. It may be a case of City acting opportunistically’.
It is also claimed in the report that a striker ‘feels like the only potential incoming deal. Otherwise, the focus is on outgoings’.
Leicester City must secure Deadline Day striker signing

The signings of both De Cordova-Reid and Ayew have both been sensible ones as both players can play a variety of positions.
The duo can both play up front, but Cooper needs a proper solution at centre-forward who can score the goals that fire Leicester to safety this season.
Having missed out on Adam Hlozek to Hoffenheim and with a move for Santiago Gimenez now looking unlikely, Leicester are running out of options.
The loan market therefore seems the only real solution with so little time to secure a deal and that could see the Foxes return for one of Fofana or Broja; both of whom Chelsea are trying to offload.
Cooper will no doubt be working closely with the Leicester board to identify players of a high enough calibre that could be available for loan and we could just see one more big move before the summer’s business is over.
