Leicester City have been handed some good news on the transfer front this week.
The January transfer window is finally open and Leicester City really need to make some signings.
The Foxes have dropped into the relegation zone and with a meeting against high-flying Aston Villa coming up, another defeat seems likely.
Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side have the worst defence in the league but are seemingly working to improve that in the winter.
A number of centre-backs have been linked with Leicester recently, while there could also be improvements in midfield as the Foxes have scouted Shea Charles.
Meanwhile, there has now been an update on the future of the club’s two Premier League loans.

Brighton can’t recall Facundo Buonanotte from Leicester City
Facundo Buonanotte joined Leicester on a season-long loan from Brighton and Hove Albion over the summer.
The Argentine has four goals and two assists in 16 Premier League outings so far this season and has been one of the club’s best players.
Van Nistelrooy did recently bench him in a couple of games, but he looked sharp upon his return versus Manchester City.
His form in the first half of 2024/25 has been superb and some fans may be fearful Brighton could opt to recall him in January.
However, a report from the Telegraph has now revealed there’s ‘no prospect’ of the 20-year-old returning to the Amex this month as he’s now passed the required number of games played with the Midlands outfit.

Odsonee Edouard set to leave Leicester City
Leicester’s other Premier League loan slot is currently being taken up by Odsonee Edouard.
The striker has played 229 minutes across all competitions since his deadline transfer to the King Power.
The same report from the Telegraph claims that he will return to Crystal Palace in January.
This will open the door for Leicester to bring another Premier League player in on loan for the second half of 2024/25.
